leader of Opposition (loP) in the State Assembly Ajay Singh has alleged that to save his prestige in the local body elections, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is making announcements openly and threatening the voters.

He asked as why the Chief Minister was feeling uneasy even 12 years of his tenure in the State that he has indulged in violating model code of conduct during the urban body polls. With this act, the Chief Minister is diminishing the image of the post he possesses, he alleged.

If Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has done good works in past 12 years, why is he so feared with the elections’ outcome, he asked, saying that this suggests that Chouhan’s claims of development were completely hollow. “Chouhan feels that if the results of the urban bodies do not come in his favour, he might face the tunes in the assembly elections scheduled next year.

He alleged that the Chief Minister has come down to the cheap levels by threatening the voters and capturing the democracy.

Besides, while addressing an election meeting in Athner and Sarani of Betul district, Singh alleged that the Chief Minister is popular among the population as ‘Mama’, but during his regime, Madhya Pradesh topped in the list of crimes against women. Besides, Madhya Pradesh also tops in the malnutrition.

He appealed the people to vote in favour of Congress candidates because this would commence an era of change in Madhya Pradesh. He stated that the Chief Minister has made sentimental relations with the people, but he completely failed in maintaining the relations.
