Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has expressed grief over death of 3 persons due to hydrogen cylinder explosion in Madhai Mela in Seoni district. Chouhan sanctioned ex-gratia of Rs 1 lakh each to next of kin of the deceased.
The district collector gave away Rs 30,000 each from Red Cross to kin of the 3 deceased and father of an injured and Rs 10,000 each to two injured persons. Expenses on treatment of the injured will be borne by the government.
The district collector has ordered a magisterial probe into the incident. An enquiry committee headed by additional commissioner has been formed to go into negligence and irregularities exercised in the district hospital.
