Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted Neem, Cassia and Mulberry (Shahtoot) saplings in Smart Garden on Wednesday. Along with Chief Minister Chouhan, the girl students of National Service Scheme unit of Government Sarojini Naidu Girls College, Bhopal also planted saplings.
Akshita Sharma, Aanchal Sharma, Sheelam Pal, Ritu Rajan and Tanisha Singh Jat of National Service Scheme participated in the plantation.
Chief Minister Chouhan also received information from the girl students about their participation in academic and other activities. The girl students told that there is also a system for teaching music in the college. Under the National Service Scheme, the work of keeping water bowls for birds in summers along with distribution of food and panipuri in the orphanages is done.
The girl students have also conducted awareness campaigns to make citizens aware of the importance of cleanliness. They participate in tree plantation from time to time.
