SR

Claiming that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had allegedly hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus by insulting their deity lord Ganesha, the State Congress on Monday sought apology from the Chief Minister.

leader of Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Ajay Singh, in a statement here, said, “The Chief Minister has hurt the sentiments of crores Hindus belief by insulting the first venerable deity of the Hindu community lord Ganesha. Chouhan should immediately tender apology from Hindu community.”

Singh said that Chouhan was keeping himself ahead of other BJP leaders by spending crore of rupees from the Centre and State Government’s funds in the name of publicity of various schemes. During his branding Chouhan crossed all the limits and did not even hesitate in insulting Hindu deities. Ganesha was considered as the first venerable deity of Hindus but Chouhan was living in such high misconceptions that not only was he violating the democratic values and administrative discipline but has also started insulting Hindu deities, he added.

He said that the advertisement published in newspapers by spending Rs 50 crore showed Chouhan was above the deity lord Ganesha, insulting deity and hurting sentiments of crore of Hindus.

Meanwhile, in another statement, Singh, reacting over BJP leaders’ statements, warned the saffron party that if they tried to implement their fascist ideology then the Congress would not sit idly and also would give a befitting reply.

The Congress leader condemned BJP MP Kaptan Singh Solanki and Industries Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya’s alleged statements that they would stop Congress voters from exercising their franchise and that the employees didn’t agree to terms only by discussions they did that only after getting beaten up. Further the BJP leaders have said that if the officials didn’t obey them they would take out their eyes, the Congress leader said this exposed BJP’s real face that it did not believe in democratic system.
