"I bow to the human sympathy of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, who changed the thinking of the people by changing the disability into Divyangta."

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday distributed assistive devices to 4146 Divyangjans of Chhindwara district through video conferencing from his residence. The programme was presided over by the Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Virendra Kumar.

In this online programme organised under the Adip scheme of the Government of India, Divyangjans were provided with 7,368 devices like Motorized Tricycle, Cervical Collar Tricycle, Wheel Chair, CP Chair, Crutch Axilla, Walking Stick, Rollator, NSI Kit, VTE Digital Type Hearing, Braille Cane Folding, ADL kits, cell phone, smart cane, smart phone, daisy flare as per requirement. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that with the help of these devices, not only will the effect of disability be reduced, but physical efficiency will increase.

While addressing the Divyangjans through video conferencing, Chief Minister Chouhan said, "Jiska koi ante hai, vo chhor nahi hun, Sham ban kar dhal jaun, wo bhor nahi hun. Kathnai kaisi, jab hausla saath hai mere, Divyang tan se hun, par man se kamzor nahi hun."

Chouhan said that everyone has equal rights over the resources available on this Earth. Everyone should get the same environment and same facilities without any discrimination. True government is the one which takes the Divyang, destitute, elderly people etc. along with it and leaves no stone unturned for their welfare. Chouhan said that 1246 beneficiaries have been benefitted with an amount of Rs 22.67 crore under the Nishakt Vivah Protsahan Yojana for Divyangjan in Madhya Pradesh.

Chouhan said that I welcome the scheme of the Government of India to provide skill development training to the Divyangjan. Divyangjans should be trained in such tasks which they can do. This will help them in making them self-dependent.
