Congress General Secretary and in-charge of Madhya Pradesh affairs Mohan Prakash on Thursday alleged that there are only two agenda of the BJP Government in Madhya Pradesh, they are corruption and protection to mafia.
While talking to media, after talking to party leaders in connection with the preparations of assembly polls, Prakash said that every new announcement of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan brings in a new scam. Chouhan has made so many announcements that he might also not recall them, he added. He further said that the seriousness of the State government towards the announcements could be gauged with the fact that there is no monitoring system in this regard. “Only mafias are happy in the BJP regime and mafias comprise ministers and BJP workers,” he said, alleging that poor people including labourers, farmers, dalits and youth are the unhappy lot in the State and Congress would fight the next elections by uniting these sections of the society.
He stated that as per the announcements made by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, process selecting suitable candidates has already commenced. All those leaders and professionals having good image, prospects of winning would be given party tickets in the elections, he added. Regarding the decision of Congress’ Choudhary Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi’s induction in the BJP, Prakash said before elections, such incidents take place. Claiming that his party would form government in the elections, Prakash said that in the elections, against the image of Chief Minister, Congress’ would go to the polls with BJP’s corruption and lechery.
Prakash stated that BJP always projects prime ministerial candidate from the States that go for assembly elections. When polls were scheduled in Gujarat, it claimed that Narendra Modi would be prime ministerial candidate, while when elections are near in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP is claiming Shivraj Singh Chouhan is PM material.
