The classical music lovers of the city witnessed a mild evening with the splendid performance by a noted classical vocalist Nandini Bedekar on Sunday. She performed under the event Saptak organised by Anhad wing of classical dance and music, Bharat Bhavan.
The audience experienced the essence of classical music as Nandini began her performance at Antrang Hall, Bharat Bhavan. She is one of the refined classical vocalists of the country. She enhances the music with the essence of her melodious voice. She is the disciple of Gaan Saraswati Kishori Amonkar.
Nandini began her performance with Raga Puriya Dhanashree. She sang two bandishien, the first one was in bilambit teen taal with the lyrics, Kaise Din Kathin.The second bandish was in dhrut teen taal with the lyrics, Payaliya Jhankar. The programme was followed with the second performance by Nandini in Raga Goud Malhar. This known to be one of the fortes of Kishori Amonkar and her refined teachings were purely seen in Nandini’s performance. Under Raga Goud Malhar, Nandini sang two bandishien.
The first bandish was in bilambit teen taal with the lyrics, Mamaan Kariye Gori. Nandini wrapped up her performance with dhrut teen taal under Raag Goud Malhar with the lyrics Barkha Bairi Upre.
