Under Gamak series, Kalidas Sanskrit Academy organised classical Kathak dance and semi classical music on Sunday at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum.
Kathak dance was presented by Avani Shukla of Ujjain and group and Semi-classical singing by Madhuri Barve of Ujjain.
The programme was broadcasted live on the Department's YouTube channel. At the beginning of the program, Santosh Pandya, Director-in-Charge of the Academy delivered the welcome address. The program was announced by Sudarshan Ayachit.
In the first performance was Kathak dance by Avni Shukla and group. They first performed Guruvandana, after that, in the technical side of Kathak dance, Teen Taal of Aamad, Tode, Tukde, Paran, Tatkar etc. were performed with the presentation of Thumri dance.
In the presentation, fellow artist Ishani Bhatt, Sanika Sathe, Aranya Nagar, Anargya Gaur, Charul Joshi, Aishwarya Sharma, Vidhi Joshi performed. Arun Kushwaha on Tabla, Pratibha Raghuvanshi on Padant and Aastik Upadhyay on Harmonium. The second presentation was of sub-classical music, in which Madhuri Barve presented the compositions composed in Raga Rageshree Chhota Khayal.
After this, Bhajan Bina Saawaro Se Naina Lage…, concluded the presentation with Bhajan. He was accompanied by Anurag Gome on Tabla and Tanaya Gandhe on Harmonium.
