Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted Banyan, Neem and Cassia saplings in Smart Park. Members of TV news channel Hindi Khabar and National Human Rights Foundation also planted saplings.
Chief Minister Chouhan received information about the environment friendly activities of the Foundation.
The members of the Foundation included Manoj Agarwal, Deepa Thakur, GD Thakur and Arora. News channel Hindi Khabar’s Kushwah, Shahnawaz and Nasir also planted saplings.
Banyan has religious and medicinal importance. According to Ayurveda, many diseases can be treated using Banyan leaves, bark etc.
Drinking its decoction boosts immunity. Similarly, Neem abounding in antibiotic elements is acknowledged as the supreme medicine. Ayurvedic medicines are made using the bark and leaves of Cassia Javanica.
