Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan immersed at Prempura Ghat with devotion and traditional fervour the image of lord Ganesh set up at Chief Minister’s House here on Monday. Chief Minister Chouhan’s wife Sadhna Singh, relatives, Revenue Minister Rampal Singh, MlA Rameshwar Sharma, officers-employees of CM House-Office and large number of devotees took part in the procession.
The procession taken out from CM’s House reached Prempura Ghat via Mata Mandir and Nehru Nagar crossing. On way, the devotees showered flower petals and raised slogans Ganpati Bappa Maurya. Throughout the route, the Chief Minister walked singing Ganpati Bhajan.
Amidst slogans of “Ganpati Bappa Maurya”, Chouhan worshiped image of lord Ganesh will full religious rites and rituals. He immersed the image in the water body specially developed with holy Narmada water by the Municipal Corporation. He also distributed Prasad to devotees. CM said lord Ganesh is Siddhi Vinayak and deity of wisdom. He prayed to Him for staying in MP, country and hearts of all people.
