Staff Reporter

The glimpse of horrifying future was seen in the lay Charkha 2031. The play was staged at SHaheed Bhavan auditorium here on Wednesday. The play marked the conclusion of two day theatre festival Bal Natya Samaroh.

The play was directed, writern and conceptualized by Sushrut Gupt. The play was brilliantly staged by the children who were a part of the children’s theatre workshop. It is to be noted that the two day theatre festival was organised by Children’s Theatre Academy.

This play is based on the future of India and the rest of the world. After few years how the world would be is predicted through this play.  The horrifying status of the world was brilliantly performed in front of the Bhopalites. The play begins with showing an era where the world has made advancement.

The world has reached to a stage where the hearts are ruled by logical minds and not emotions. There is little feeling left for people around. For domestic works people have robots in their house. Great industrialists have become suppliers of water and oxygen. The cars are flying in the sky. The face of India is entirely changed and there are people who are least interested in each other’s matters, they have built houses at Mars and Moon. Most horrifying picture that was portrayed through the play was that there were no trees and water around. In the entire nation there is only one city where there are trees and water. There is greenery and happiness. It is because of an old man Babu Dhurvidrohi Pragati and his companions Marsaab and school’s peon. The entire story revolves around this city and how the world will change after 2019 was showcased through the play.
