Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday alleged that the Congress led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at Centre in order to cover up its failures is using central agencies to implicate opposition leaders in false cases.

Chouhan said this while addressing public meeting at Neemuch during his ongoing Jan Ashirwad Yatra that started from the western end of the state on Tuesday. Chouhan said, “The development works that could not be done by the erstwhile Congress governments of Rajas and Maharajas during their sixty years rule over the state have been done by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of the state in past ten years only.”

The chief minister mentioning the public welfare works done by his government for all sections of the society during the past ten years sought the blessings of the people for making the next government of BJP in the state. “We pledged for making agriculture as the profit making business and now the state is number one in the country in agriculture production,” Chouhan added.

He said that MP is the only state that is providing loans at zero per cent to the famers and efforts are on to make available round the clock electricity in the state. “I dreams of making state prosperous and make all efforts to make the dreams a reality, Chouhan added.

The Yatra started from the Manasa assembly constituency of the state, during the last assembly election in 2008 BJP was placed at number three in this constituency. Chouhan took pledge from the locals that they would not repeat the last mistake and this time would make BJP victorious. The people affirmed to the pledge by raising their hands and assured the chief minister that this time they would for sure make the BJP victorious from Manasa.

The Yatra completed 140 kilometers of journey in the Neemuch district and passed through 37 villages. Chief Minister addressed seven public meetings during this journey. The important factor of this phase of the Yatra in the district known as the nursery of the Sangh Parivar was that Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi was dominant in the hoardings, posters and banners.
