To celebrate the occasion of BJP minority cell State president Sanawwar Patel assuming office, the cell workers opened fire in the air in front of the State BJP headquarters on Wednesday.
Using guns to open fire in the air is illegal. The gun that was used by the party worker was one used to drive away cattle from farms. The firing took place in the open in the presence of police personnel, but nobody dared to stop the party worker, who had come along with Patel.
On the occasion, BJP farmers' cell State president Ranveer Singh Rawat also assumed office.
"I say it with pride that I am a Hindu. The patriotic Muslims should say 'Vande Mataram' and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. We have to eradicate the poison between Hindus and Muslims," said BJP's State president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan while addressing a programme.
While praising Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Nandkumar said that Shivraj Singh Chouhan has provided relief to the farmers and other people. The heads of the fronts would broadcast the success and achievements of the Government to the people. The irrigation capacity of the State has commendably increased during the BJP regime. 'Work for every hand and water of every land' is the commitment of the BJP Government, he claimed.
Nandkumar stated that he had himself taken a loan of Rs 1 lakh from the Government but he would only have to return Rs 90,000 as the State Government would pay the rest.
State organizational general secretary Suhaas Bhagat congratulated the presidents of the front and said that the workers should ensure active participation at the panchayat level. He said that he is grateful for the responsibility given to him by the party.
