The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Bhopal Branch has on Monday filed a chargesheet in a case of fraud and criminal conspiracy registered against officials of State Bank of Mysore(SBM), Bhopal branch, Prakhar Construction Builder & Developers, Bhopal and its Partners and others.
After completion of investigation, charge-sheet has been filed in the court of special Judge for CBI cases, under sections 120 (B), 420, 468 and 471 of the IPC and under sections 13(2) and 13(1) (d) of the Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act 1988.
The CBI, in an official statement informed that a case in the above mentioned sections was registered against the then Manager, State Bank of Mysore, Branch Bhopal, the then Assistant Manager, State Bank of Mysore, Branch Bhopal and Partner of M/s Prakhar Construction Bhopal and M/s Prakhar Construction, Builder and Developers, Bhopal.
During investigation, it was found that the then Manager, State Bank of Mysore, Branch Bhopal, the then Assistant Manager, State Bank of Mysore, Branch Bhopal and M/s Prakhar Construction Builder & Developers, Bhopal and its Partners and others on the allegations that accused persons entered into criminal conspiracy with each other and sanctioned and disbursed 42 housing loans in the name of various borrowers brought by the builders M/s Prakhar Construction Builder & Developers, Bhopal on the basis of false IT Returns, Balance Sheets etc. thereby caused wrongful loss to bank and wrongful gain to themselves to the tune of Rs 447.55 lakh.
