Disgraced former Finance Minister Raghavji and two of his accomplices, who were already arrested on charges of unnatural sex with one of his domestic helpers in 2013 were chargesheeted by a local court here on Monday under various Sections of IPC.
Special Judge of the district court DK Paliwal ordered to continue the trial against the former Cabinet Minister under Shivraj Singh Chouhan Government and two others, namely, Sher Singh and Suresh Singh. The next hearing will be held on August 12.
Raghavji had resigned as State Finance Minister in July 2013 after a CD purportedly featuring him doing unnatural sex with his domestic help, Rajkumar Dangi, 29, surfaced. Dangi had filed a police complaint alleging that he was being sexually exploited by the Minister.
The 82-year-old was accused of sexually exploiting his maid servants and others after promising them Government jobs. “The Minister has sexually exploited me and did unnatural sex with me for more than three years,” shows the affidavit submitted by Dangi, who exposed the Minister.
BJP had expelled Raghavji Bhai from the primary membership of the party after the incident. Raghavji also was forced to resign from the Shivraj Singh Chouhan Cabinet.
Immediately following the expulsion, the police registered an FIR against the sacked Minister under Sections 377 (carnal intercourse against the order of nature), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC.
The complainant in his affidavit had also mentioned the involvement of a Sher Singh Chouhan, another domestic help on the Minister’s residence who introduced him to the Minister. The police FIR named Raghavji, Sher Singh Chouhan and a Suresh Chouhan as the accused.
