Unidentified miscreants burgled the office of a tax consultant in MP Nagar locality late on Wednesday night and fled away with `75,000 in cash.
According to the police, the victim Santosh Kumar Shakya found on Thursday that the locks of the door were broken and on entering the office the cash was missing.
Shakya immediately lodged a compliant with the MP Nagar police stating that on Wednesdayevening he left the place after properly locking the office and on
Thursday morning when he arrive to open the office he found that the locks were broken and cash kept in the office was missingVictim claimed that the cash which was kept in the almirah. For entering the office, the miscreants broke the wooden board which was the main door of the office. The victim is a resident of Punjabi Bagh.
The police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.Police said that the circumstantial evidences suggest that the miscreants were aware of the money and only targeted the money. The other valuables were not disturbed. The security guard and the locals would be questioned and the CCTV footages would be searched during the investigation.People who are acquainted and work for the victim would be questioned regarding the burglary. The employees of the victim who have worked for him in the past would also be questioned.
