School Education Minister Paras Jain has said that a large auditorium should be built in all education divisions like the one at Model School, Bhopal.
Jain was addressing oath-taking and talent felicitation function at Government Model Higher Secondary School here on Wednesday. Minister of State for School Education Deepak Joshi was also present.
Paras Jain said that a large and State-of-the-art auditorium should exist at division level for educational and cultural activities. This will help students hone their skills as well as year-round educational activities.
He asked students to pay attention to character building side by side with studies. Apart from parents, blessings of parents are also necessary for progress in any field.
Jain informed that school life is the springboard to move ahead in life. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan is its example, who had become active in public life while studying in this school. It is matter of pride and glory for the school that its student is now Chief Minister of the State. Jain expressed happiness that school fraternity saved from their salaries to Rs51,000 for distribution as incentive amount for meritorious students.
Minister of State for School Education Deepak Joshi said that studies call for hard work and dedication. He said that students should help the school maintain its reputation in accordance with its name. Joshi also quoted anecdotes of student life of Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
At the outset, Paras Jain administered oath to students union’s office-bearers and give away badges to them. Principal Ml Dube presented mementoes to the guests. The School Education Minister gave away Rs51,000 on behalf of school fraternity to student Keshav Sen for securing 95.7 per cent marks in higher secondary exam. Jain and Joshi inaugurated renovated physics lab and inspected chemistry lab. Secretary Board of Secondary Education Shashank Mishra, teachers and students were present on the occasion.
