Barkatullah University (BU) administration is again late in completing necessary work; BU administration has not sent the information of available seats of colleges under it for admission to Department of Higher Education (DHE). DHE has to upload the same available seats list on its web portal for admission registration going to start from Tuesday.
BU has not sent the list of affiliated colleges and available seats for admission to DHE. DHE through a circular issued to all the universities of the State demanded the list of affiliated college and available seats to be submitted by May 15.
Most of the university in the State had already submitted the lists but BU administration did not pay any heed to the circular.
When BU administration failed to submit the lists even after the deadline the university administration got thrashing from senior officers of DHE. BU administration took no action in the matter in last few weeks but after the thrashing BU Vice Chancellor Nisha Dubey immediately called a meeting of senior university officers. Dubey ordered the officers to complete the affiliation work within next
two days.
BU administration, after the thrashing, got into active mode and started the affiliation work immediately with the meeting of officers which continued late in the night.
According to sources, BU administration has not completed even the inspection of colleges, a necessity of affiliation, till now.
BU administration has now handed over the responsibility of inspection of colleges to 40 professors of university.
BU administration has also cancelled the leave application of Registrar Sanjay Tiwari, who applied for leave due to health reasons, for completing the affiliation work within next two days.
