A breach of privilege notice was submitted today in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly against an Indian Administrative Service officer.
Following a discussion on calling attention notices, Speaker Sitasaran Sharma informed the House that he is in receipt of the notice by members Vishwas Sarang, Surendra Nath Singh, Rameshwar Sharma and Vishnu Khatri (all ruling Bharatiya Janata Party) and Arif Aqueel of the Congress. On December 10, a meeting was conducted by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation regarding the smart city concept and all local legislators were invited. The following day, Aqueel raised the issue and pointed out that Municipal Commissioner Tejaswi Naik failed to attend the gathering.
