In an ugly turn of events, a teenage boy here on Tuesday afternoon stabbed his Facebook girlfriend and her mother in Geeta Nagar Colony and later jumped from the second floor of the victim’s residence.
All the three who sustained critical injuries have been admitted to different city hospitals. Of the three, condition of the girl who along with her mother is undergoing treatment in a private hospital of the city, has been described as critical.
According to Palasia police, the accused identified as Amit had gone to the victims' residence in Geeta Nagar here tody and stabbed the girl with a knife repeatedly. Hearing cries of her daughter, the girl's mother rushed to save her but she too was stabbed by Amit. After injuring both mother and daughter grievously, the accused too jumped from second floor of the victim's house and sustained serious injuries.
On receipt of information, Palasia police reached the spot and all the three injured were rushed to different city hospitals. While the accused Amit was admitted to MY hospital, the girl and her mother are undergoing treatment in a private city hospital where condition of the girl is stated to be critical.
According to the accused Amit, he had befriended the girl through facebook and her mother was also known to him. He said that it was girl's mother who had asked him to come to her residence.
After I went to her residence, we had a fight over some matter and the girl injured herself with a knife and it was only after that I jumped from the second floor of her house, the accused.
The police have registered a case and initiated probe into the matter. According to police, the girl is a student of 2th standard.
