The meeting of Bhopal Municipal Council to be held on January 21 will be stormy. The opposition is making a strategy to take up the issues related to the public like water and roads. There may also be an uproar regarding the wind energy project in Neemuch.
The corporation has issued the agenda before the meeting. This includes 15 MW wind and 21 MW solar projects to be set up in Neemuch. At the same time, proposals for construction of drains worth about Rs 58 crore will also be kept in Zone-9, 10, 11, 16 and 17. At present, there are no issues related to roads and water in the agenda. That's why Leader of Opposition Shabista Zaki has given proposals to the Mayor's Council, so that they can be discussed in the meeting.
The wind energy project has been approved in the MIC (Mayor in Council) meeting held a few days ago. Since then politics has heated up. The opposition has become aggressive on this issue. The Leader of Opposition and Councilors are talking about raising the issue in the council meeting.
