Sensation prevailed in the area after a body of a 20-year-old girl was found near Patanjali Parisar at BDA’s land in the afternoon on Wednesday; identity of the deceased was yet to be established, said Gandhi Nagar police.
DIG Bhopal declared a reward of Rs 10000 for providing details of the deceased and accused.
Police said that circumstantial evidences suggest that the deceased was killed but regarding sexual assault nothing could be ascertained and would be revealed after the post mortem report is received.
In the initial investigation police have found visible injury marks over face and near the ear which are due to hitting by stone.
After the body was spotted locals informed the police and on the receipt a police team reached the spot and started investigation. After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.
The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and started further investigation.
