Additional Commissioner of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) and city planner have been shifted from the charge of building permission on Thursday. The action was taken after complaints of irregularities in online building permission were had reached the Chief Minister. Additional Commissioner of BMC GP Mali and City Planner Sunita Singh were removed from the responsibility of building permission department after an enquiry conducted by Commissioner of Urban Administration Department Vivek Agrawal.
The responsibility of building permission has been handed over to Additional Commissioner MP Singh while Assistant Engineer Maan Singh Sengar and RS Zaidi would work in place of Sunita Singh.
After the removal from the work of building permission, Sunita Singh will look after the work of illegal colony cell.
The changes were incorporated after a delegation of builders had met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and complained regarding irregularities in the online building permission. In the complaint they had allegedly accused both the officers for irregularities.
later, Chouhan had instructed UAD Commissioner Vivek Agrawal and on Thursday two officials were sent to the office of building permission office of BMC and the complainants were informed to visit the office during their presence.
