Dyeing process is a jigsaw puzzle, not to be solved, but to excavate further improvisations of itself,” says artist Monika Sheth.

The painter has brought her beautiful creations in the city. A solo exhibition of Monika’s work ‘Blue Deeper than Indigo’ was inaugurated here on Friday. Put up at Alliance Francaise de Bhopal Art Gallery, the exhibition was inaugurated by eminent sculptor Robin David.

The exhibition which will be on display till September 15 is all about the puzzled diagrams. Monika has beautifully displayed the Dyeing Process over the canvas with the zesty pinch of her imagination.

Her creativity is more involved with observation rather than experiencing. Here, the artist has displayed her creation which gives an impact that how the she perceive this world and its activities.

“My influences are foremost derived from everything I see, feel and experience. From the beginning, the process of transformation has struck me magically” says Monika.

The impression of her work is more sharp and clear. She says, “I chose to work with fabric for its delicacy and willingness to be transformed both in form and colour.”

She has used various textures of abstract art in her paintings giving a new direction to express emotions more extensively.

“I employ the traditional dyeing technique as it always enticed me. Dyeing process gives me the possibility for limitless variations and surprises. I spend days arranging and rearranging the dyed fabric pieces, juxtaposing scale and color before assembling them into a whole. The process itself is like solving a jigsaw puzzle. The puzzle is not to be solved, but to excavate further improvisations of itself,” she added.

The exhibition is a treat for the eyes and was much appreciated by the art lovers on its opening day.
