A blood donation camp was held on Sunday by a youth group of the city Aashvas. The donation camp was done with a motive to save children suffering with Thalassemia.
The event was held in association with NGO Jeevan Sarthak Group. The camp aimed to let the youngsters know the importance of blood donation. Besides, it was also held as a social cause to help out the blood banks of the city.
“We basically aimed to collect blood for the children suffering with a disease Thalassemia, which is a kind of blood disorder. We will give this blood to the blood banks so that the children can be saved,” shared founder and president of Aashvas Aashik Bharati.
The doctors were present on the eve. Examination of blood groups was also held. 100 volunteers came up and donated the blood.
