State Congress has alleged that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s concern for the tribals was merely a farce.
leader of Opposition Ajay Singh, in a statement here on Wednesday, said, “Chouhan’s shedding of tears for tribals is nothing more than a showoff, had he been so much concerned for this section of the society than why not he made Phaggan Singh Kulaste as the State BJP president and why worked to defeat him in the election.”
Singh further said that at the place of pointing out towards Congress the Chief Minister should look at the excesses made on tribals in his rule. Congress commitment towards tribals could be gauged from the fact that the reigns of party in the State were in the hands of a tribal. MP topped the country in excesses, injustice and atrocities on tribals and Dalits. Half of the total 60 lakh malnourished children in the State were tribals and the BJP Government of the State was sitting over the 30 per cent bonus amount over Tendu Patta to be given to the tribals since last ten years, he added.
He said that the tribals and Dalits were most neglected lot in the State under the Bharatiya Janata Party rule. To woo this section of the society the BJP has made a Minister from the community just four months before the Assembly election, the Congress never had such mongrel face, he added. The Congress leader said that Shivraj Singh Chouhan should not get nervous by the decisions taken by the Congress instead he should pay attention to the limited number of days left for his Government in the state.
In the ensuing assembly elections the people of the state would get befitting reply to the BJP and Chouhan who stand expose before them, he added.
