With State BJP office secretary Alok Sanjar getting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket for the Bhopal lok Sabha parliamentary constituency, considered as one of the safest seat of the saffron party, the office of the BJP State office secretary has earned the distinction of sending three of its holders consecutively to Parliament.
The office now considered as most lucky has also another distinction that besides sending its occupant to Parliament the holder also directly becomes national leader. It is now talk of the BJP circles of the State and with Alok Sanjar getting party ticket some leaders of the saffron party have started lobbying to get this significant seat considering it as a direct ticket to Parliament.
Before Sanjar, the occupants of this seat who reached parliament include Prabhat Jha and Raghunandan Sharma, though both of these leaders reached parliament through easy path of Rajya Sabha and later both of them also became the national vice presidents of the party. Sharma and Jha reached the parliament while holding the chair of the BJP state office secretary while Sanjar has got the lok Sabha ticket from one of the safest seat of the BJP and is almost certain to reach the Parliament.
Jha also became the president of the Madhya Pradesh BJP while holding this office and was later sent to Rajya Sabha and then was also made party national vice president. In the past also the occupant of this office and senior BJP leader Kailash Narayan Sarang was also sent to the upper house of parliament while holding this office.
