The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticised the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) at the Centre for its nationwide advertisement campaign on Bharat Nirman.
The spokesman of BJP Madhya Pradesh and legislator from Narela Assembly constituency, Vishwas Sarang said in a statement here on Tuesday that “The Congress-led UPA Government of the Centre is trying to shine its blackened image by spending hard earned money of tax payers in running advertising campaign.”
Sarang further said that the UPA Government is producing false figures of Bharat Nirman in its ten year rule but despite of all the Government could not get rid of all the black spots which involved thousand of crores rupees scams and corruption during their regime.
The advertisements given by the Central Government are nothing more than the phantasm with the people of the country, he added.
He said that during the UPA regime scams to the tune of lakhs of crores of rupees took place. The major scams reported during this regime include 2-G spectrum and coal-gate. The proofs of the scams are also well known, he added.
He said that if the Congress put up its achievements of ten years of rule and the scams happened during the same period than it is for sure that the Congress would be buried under the weight of corruption and scams.
Central Government is using tax payers’ hard earned money for improving its image but its intent would not be realised because now the Congress and its intents stands exposed to public, he added.
