Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Madhya Pradesh organisational general secretary Arvind Menon expressed displeasure over the tardy pace of membership drive by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). He was reviewing the progress of membership drive of all the 56 organisational districts and instructed the Morcha office bearers to contact the office bearers of the last executive of the Morcha to take their help in accomplishing the set target of 25 lakh new members.

Sources said that Menon lost faith over the Morcha as its office bearers failed to attend the important meet and that is why he remembered the old office bearers and decided to take their help to make membership drive a success. While addressing the state executive meeting of the BJYM here on Tuesday at the BJP state headquarters said, “The party has decided to create a new world record of membership by any political party. This means that the BJP family would have to extend from east to west and from north to south, besides establishing affective relationship with the fellow countrymen.”

Menon further said, “BJYM is a stair for moving ahead in the field of politics and social service. Whatever union minister Rajnath Singh and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan are today is the result of their grooming while they were working in BJYM and also remained its national presidents. They showed courage of accepting challenges while working with BJYM and due to that reached on top of it.”

Menon said that the mega membership drive of the BJP is a challenge besides being boon for the BJYM.  The Morcha has been shouldered over this responsibility because of its ability besides being techno friendly and the party organization is hopeful that the BJYM would make maximum members in Madhya Pradesh to help party achieve its national target. To achieve target of making 25 lakh new members youth play important and decisive role, he added.

Earlier, BJYM state president Amardeep Morya while addressing the meet said, “Active and important participation of the Morcha has been established during the assembly, parliamentary and civic body’s elections in the state that is why we would indulge whole heartedly to meet the target and responsibility shouldered to us by the state president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan and organizational general secretary Arvind Menon.” Morya furthers aid that the membership drive is way to reach every person and every home of the State.
