Besides major political players in Madhya Pradesh, the smaller parties have also geared up for the cyber war in preparations with the hustings slated later in the year.

The presence of smaller parties on the social networking sites along with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the main opposition Congress is for sure going to make the virtual campaigning in the run for the year end assembly elections more interesting.

latest to join the social media for raising its concerns for the state is the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) that has created its page on popular social networking site 'facebook' with the name BSP Madhya Pradesh on March 24.

BSP's arch rival and the party in power in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh the Samajwadi Party (SP) that is spearheading an alliance of over half a dozen political outfits in Madhya Pradesh is also running a community on 'facebook' titled as 'Samajwadi Party Madhya Pradesh.' The SP state unit joined the virtual world in July 2012.

The basic difference between the pages of two arch rivals is that the SP page is having the name of its State President Gauri Singh Yadav as the administrator while the BSP page has not named any person and has instead put up BSP as administrator of the page.

The other difference is that the SP page has the pictures of its supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, UP chief minister Akhlesh Yadav and socialist ideologue Ram Manohar lohia while the BSP page depicts the symbol of the party elephant besides an equation 'SC+ST+MUSlIM+OTHER MINORITIES = BSP' and that these are 85 per cent in the state.

SP State president Gauri Singh Yadav while talking to 'The Pioneer' said, "We are not behind in using the latest technology and that we are not new to the social networking, we are ready to take on our rivals in the State in every field. Our responsibility has increased many folds in the run for the 2013 Assembly Elections in the State because we are heading the third front here and it is our responsibility to aware the people of the State with the wrongdoing of the BJP in the state and the Congress at the centre."

BSP State president                IS Morya said, "We are on the networking sites to take maximum advantage of the                technology and to keep our cadres up to date with the party affairs.
