Comparing Chief Shivraj Singh Chouhan with Dhritarashtra of Mahabharata epic, Madhya Pradesh Congress committee has alleged that he has been ignoring and neglecting corruption by his Cabinet colleagues.

The Special Police Establishment of lokayukta is investigating corruption charges against 14 ministers including Industries Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has intentionally delaying the investigation.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president Kantilal Bhuria and chairman of Publicity and Publication Committee for State Assembly and Member of Parliament Premchand Guddu, in a joint statement on Tuesday equated Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan with Dhritarashtra who is a character in Mahabharata epic who used to neglect wrong doings of his son Duryodhana and Dussasana and in the same manner Chouhan has ignored scams by officials and ministers.

Bhuria alleged that investigation is pending for years against the 14 ministers, 46 IAS officials, 10 IPS officials and 4 IFS officials and the non-cooperation by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is responsible for the delay which is aimed to increase the pendency and delay in the initiation of the investigation against the ministers.

The Jabalpur high court has demanded explanation from the BJP led State government. Guddu claimed that in the last 10 years of the BJP rule, Madhya Pradesh has turned into a corrupt State. Majority of the corruption cases across the country are pending in Madhya Pradesh only. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has to answer the reason behind the pendency in the investigation against his cabinet colleagues.
