The new Business Development Units have proved beneficial as under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Saurabh Bandopadhyay and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Vijay Prakash and Senior Divisional Operations Manager Dr.R.N. and result of continuous efforts by the officers and supervisory staff under the joint leadership of Meena, Bhopal Division has started booking export traffic from Mandideep to Bangladesh through VP Rake.
This is a new initiative by the Board, which has provided traders an economical, safe, quick and reliable means of transport for goods going to Bangladesh.
Two such rakes have been loaded from Mandideep so far. Commodities mainly consisted of cotton rolls, cotton thread and fabric. Railways earned Rs 57.51 lakh from the total loading of 1108
tonnes. The Business Development Unit (BDU) of Bhopal Division has undertaken massive marketing efforts to increase and diversify the loading basket of Bhopal Division.
Reaching out to potential customers and communicating with them to meet their needs. In this line it is a new service provided to the customers in which they have a cost effective and quick solution for their transportation requirement.
