Studio Casa Nona, Bhopal, along with The Goodwill Tribe, Dubai, organised an event ‘letter Earthings’ on Sunday at its premises.
It is to be noted that The Goodwill Tribe is a non-profit organisation based in Dubai. It invites people to spread a little bit of kindness and human connection, through the good old art of handwritten letters at the much loved event, letter Earthings. On Sunday, Bhopal had its first letter Earthings event held at Casa Nona.
As many as 25 volunteers of all age groups enthusiastically participated in it. They wrote inspirational and motivational letters to the strangers who need motivation.
Talking about the event Khushbu Jain owner at Casa Nona said, “letter Earthlings is a little bit of kindness and human connection, through the good old art of handwritten letters.”
Elaborating further, she said, “This event was basically organised to write letters of love, hope and inspiration to strangers all over the world, to people who deserve a little extra loving.”
In the days of cell phones, email and texts, the art of writing letters can seem hopelessly outdated. But it’s an art worth bringing back receiving a handwritten letter will always offer an experience that modern technology cannot touch, she added.
While writing the letters, the volunteers also felt self motivated as they shared stories about each other.
It was a wonderful experience for the Bhopalites to be a part of such an inspiring event.
The members of Madhya Pradesh lekhika Sangh were also present on the occasion and wrote the letters. Khushbu further informed that they will post these motivational letters on Monday.
“It’s heartwarming, inspiring and motivational for a recipient going through tough time to know that strangers have taken the time to just sit down and write them a letter,” added Khushbu.
