The Bhopal Cyclothon 2017 will be held in the city in which participants from across the globe will be participating. Besides, interestingly, the cyclothon will see the participation of transgenders for the first time.
The Prathvi Manikarnika Education and Social welfare development society is conducting Bhopal Cyclothon 2017 on Sunday which will be held at TT Nagar Stadium. The cyclothon will be conducted in three categories including 21 km, 11 km and 5 km. Participants can participate in these categories according to their choice.
While talking about the cyclothon founder of this organisation Deepti Singh told the mediapersons on Friday, “First time ever transgenders are expected to be participating in this event for social cause.”
She further shared that around 500 participants have already registered for the event. Participants from Bhopal, Indore, Delhi are participating in the event. “This is the first time when a Cyclothon is getting conducted on such a large scale. This is the first time when transgenders are also invited for such event for promoting social cause, and they have agreed also,” she added.
She said that registrations are open at www.bhopalcyclothon.com. Deepti shared that the interest of women in this event is clearly visible this is time and very much appreciated. “The purpose of this campaign is take society to a better direction and to raise funds for healthy and clean lifestyle, education and helping cancer patients,” shared Deepti.
Notably, The Prathvi is an NGO working in the field of social welfare since last seven years through various activities.
