Jambu Singad's childhood was spent in the village, not even a thought of painting remained in his mind. Seeing the mother and other women of the family decorating the house and courtyard during the festivals in the house, interest towards soil and colors increased.

Then, just as everyone is invited when Manauti's Pithora is marked at someone's house in the village, Jambu also started going to Pithora to see and hear and from there just a deep yearning for colors and shapes was born. Gradually, on the walls of the house itself, with mother or sister, started making some figures with colors.
