Under the banner of trade union INTUC, a programme titled ‘Meet with the employees’ was held the other day at BHEl, Bhopal.
On this occasion the trade union representatives accorded a majestic welcome to Shashi Ranjan Prasad on his appointment as the new Executive Director of Bhopal unit. All general managers, RD Tripathi, President, INTUC; Gautam Maure, JP Gaur, RK Hurde, other union representatives and large number of employees were present.
Tripathi on this occasion welcomed Prasad and said that looking at the present challenges BHEl is going through selection of a dynamic, honest and formidable administrator like Prasad by BP Rao, CMD; BHEl is the most befitting decision. In the present scenario the conditions are different for BHEl, there are a lot of challenges that the company is facing. The situation is akin to a war zone wherein appointment of an able administrator like Prasad can only unfurl the victory flag.
He further urged the employees to work with full commitment & dedication taking the company to new heights. Besides Tripathi also expressed disappointment on the sidelining of the earlier procedures of work which he said is dangerous for the company.
On the lines of appeal for the construction of advanced township Tripathi too raised the issue of motivational schemes like the Reward payment scheme to be executed soon.Prasad speaking on this occasion said that the industrial culture of Bhopal is distinctive and the employees here have been achieving targets with self motivation. He said that drop in values have been witnessed in the factory which anyhow needs to be weeded out, enamoring the new employees with the culture of BHEl.
The company has given us a lot, now we have to devote our services towards its growth. All attempts will be made to kick start the system in the factory opined Prasad saying that output will only reflect if anything is being done, no need is there of assurances.
Girish Shrivastava, General Manager, HR speaking on this occasion said that the appropriate answer to the challenges is to deliver quality products within the time schedule bringing it into daily practice. later, Dharmendra Tripathi proposed a vote of thanks.
