BHEl Bhopal has bagged special recognition across the corporation level by clinching the Excellence award in Customer satisfaction and Anusandhan category in the year 2015.
AMV Yugandhar, Executive Director BHEl, Bhopal received the shield and the appreciation letter with both the teams from Atul Sobti, Chairman & Managing Director BHEl in presence of the members of the Board of Directors. BHEl, Bhopal was also presented the ‘Best productive unit of the year’ award. Sobti and all the board members congratulated the unit for the success.
Switchgear Division has won the prize in ‘Anusandhan category’ for development and commercialisation of switchgear suitable for super critical power plants. Mohd Azam Khan, team leader; Neelam Bhogal, HR Patel, Rahul Grover, Arun Minz, Prashant Dubey and Shobit Rastogi contributed to the innovation. The division has for the first time developed 12kV Air insulated switchgear suitable for fault ratings of 40kA for 1sec and normal current rating of 4000 Amperes. This is the highest ratings for switchgear designed and manufactured in India.
Transformer Division has won the prize in the Customer satisfaction category by renovating the 22 years old 240 MVA –Unit-I Generator Transformer for 2X210 MW Power plant of Odisha Power Generation Corporation. The transformer got damaged in the year 2014 by thunderous lightning causing a loss of Rs1 crore per day to the customer. Harish Sharma, Manager, TXX; Nitin Melgandi, Engineer, TRE; SK Usrete, TRE; BM Upadhyay, FTM and SK Thorat were also honoured for their valuable contributions.
