leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh has alleged that like demonetisation and GST implementation, Bhavantar scheme introduced by the state Government for farmers has become problematic for the peasants.
In a statement, Singh stated that the Chief Minister introduced the Bhavantar scheme by spending Rs 50 crore, but soon after launching it, he left for his US tour and thus the farmers are facing problems.
He said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced that the farmers would get cash payment up to Rs 50,000, but he completely failed n implementing it properly.
Singh alleged that the way, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had implemented demonetisation and GST in the country, without considering their aftereffects, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan implemented Bhavantar scheme without any consideration. The way, people in the country are forced to face the aftereffects of both the schemes, in Madhya Pradesh, the farmers are at receiving end.
He stated that the farmers who were already facing crisis are in danger with the bhavantar scheme. Throughout the State, the farmers are annoyed, as they are not getting adequate price to their produce. In the advertisements published in different newspapers and telecast in radio and television, the chief minister is telling lies that the farmers are getting Rs 50,000 in cash at the mandis, but the traders are refusing to pay in cash, Singh added.
He claimed that middlemen are still working round the clock at the mandis to cheat the farmers in connivance with the government employees.
