In a shift from housing development, Bhopal Development Authority (BDA) is now aiming at building flyovers in the State capital.

Terming the market conditions as ‘recessionary’ Yadav proposed no new development schemes in his budget proposal. BDA would focus on finishing someone dozen odd pending schemes.
BDA also proposed construction linked plan and down payment plan, thus easing the payment to BDA by the individuals. “We are willing to sell our plots at economical rates, but going below collector guidelines is not a feasible option,” Yadav said.
In rare cases, BDA also announced giving a 25 per cent on its properties they have not found buyers.
BDA will also start 10 per cent preferential charge on properties in prime locations. BDA would also charge Rs 1 per sq feet towards corpus fund from residential maintenance. About Rs 10,000 per year would be charged for a two bedroom house.
