Yogesh Hingorani, accused of assaulting Hero Gyan Chandani, brother of Congress leader Harish Gyan Chandani, who lives in Bairagarh, surrendered in the court on Monday.

The accused has surrendered in the court of Judge Arunendra Pratap Singh.

Hero Gyan Chandani had lodged a complaint  in Bairagarh police station in December against Yogesh, brother Nilesh and father Ramesh Gyanchandani, posted as a clerk in a government department.

Nilesh and Ramesh have previously got bail from the court. A case of illegal possession of a pistol is also registered against the accused in Gandhi Nagar police station.

Yogesh's father Ramesh Hingorani is 57 years old. After the Lokayukta raid on 16 October 2024, his name suddenly came into the headlines. The reason was the fact that a government clerk had property worth crores.

Action was taken at Ramesh's house and four other places related to him. In this, more than one kg of gold worth Rs 70 lakh, more than one kg of silver worth Rs 55000, cash Rs 12.17 lakh were seized, the total of which was around one crore rupees. This valuation does not include vehicles and houses owned by Ramesh.

Along with this, documents related to property were also recovered. Ramesh is also accused of illegally occupying a school of an institution of Sindhi society. Lokayukta found an illegal pistol in this school located in Gandhi Nagar during the search.

During his absconding in the Arms Act case, a video of Nilesh from a mobile shop went viral.

After the brother surrendered in the court room on Monday, Nilesh also reached there. He told that we have registered cases against Hero Gyanchandani under many serious sections.

With the intention of taking revenge for this, a case was registered  three months ago in Bairagarh police station in collusion. He and his father had already got bail in this case. On Monday, his brother Yogesh surrendered in court.
