AYUSH Department is providing Ayurvedic healthcare facilities to saints, seers and devotees in Simhastha Mela at Ujjain. From Tuesday, Zone level Ayurvedic dispensaries have started working round-the-clock. Every Zone level hospital set up by Health Department is manned by 5 doctors each with adequate number of nurses, MPWs and lab technicians. One Ayurved doctor and 2 Ayushkarmis each have also been deployed there.
Satisfaction of devotees regarding services of all departments during Simhastha is being assessed through Consumer Satisfaction Card. AYUSH Department has decided to give numbers on the basis of feedback from devotees about time taken in rendering service, quality of medicines, treatment, treatment facilities at AYUSH centres, conduct of doctors and nurses. Attendance of officers and employees deployed in Mela area will be ascertained through thumb impression machines.
Departmental staff will perform duty with dress code and batch. Officers-employees have been directed to report on duty 15 minutes before time. Apart from seating, drinking water arrangements have also been made for patients at dispensaries. Information about AYUSH Department will be updated on Mela Office's website.
Selected villages in Dewas district through which convoys of Simhastha devotees pass are being spruced up. In these villages, Ashram-Sthals for devotees' convenience are also being developed. Schools are being whitewashed. Arrangements of rest, toilets, snacks and drinking water are being ensured in these villages.
Apart from setting up of 1100 RO-equipped drinking water kiosks, permission has also been given to various voluntary and social organisations to set up kiosks in Mela area, satellite towns and approach roads. If any other organisation desires to set up water kiosks, they can apply to Mela Officer. In Mela area, 750 kiosks have become functional.
