Assembly Secretariat besides being collaborator of Government and Opposition in working is liable to the chair of the House. It plays important role in making legislative works result-oriented, said Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Sitasaran Sharma. The occasion was the farewell party of assembly’s Principal Secretary Bhagwandev Israni who retired from the services on Thursday.
Sharma said, “The assembly secretariat for sure do legislative work and also lives that work. Retirement is unavoidable moment and this moment gets fixed from the very same moment when one joins duty.”
Sharma further said that Israni is wonderful workman and he has added many dimensions in the working of the assembly secretariat and has met the public expectations and reputation of the assembly. He made outstanding innovations and provided result oriented shape to the representations procedure of the assembly. E-legislation and online question system in the state assembly is the result of hard work of Israni, he added.
Sharma also took the occasion to announce that Secretary of the state assembly AP Singh would be the working principal secretary of the assembly till further orders.
Notably, besides Israni two assistant grade 2 employees lakhanlal Korav and Chunnilal Gaur also got retired from services today and all of them were given farewell party in the dome of the assembly. On this occasion Assembly speaker Sharma honored all the outgoing employees of the assembly secretariat with Shawl, shrifal and citation.
The farewell ceremony was also addressed by forest minister Gaurishankar Shejwar and senior Congress legislature Govind Singh. Assembly employees and officer, legislators and journalists in large numbers were present on the occasion.
