The Ashoka Garden police raided a factory and seized fake pipes with branded tags of renowned companies worth lakhs of rupees on Thursday; the factory owner was manufacturing pipes which were sold across the state.
After the information was received, a police team rushed to spot and raided the area and found pipes with the tag of Jindal company.
The accused were making fake pipes for a renowned company. From the spot which was an operational manufacturing factory pipes worth lakhs of rupees were seized from the spot.
Police said that after receiving information about fake pipes at the Industrial Area factory operated by Arpit Agrawal was raided and it was found that at the factory manufacturing of fake pipes was going on for a long time.
Action was taken after a complaint was made by company representative Narendra Sandhu against Arpit's factory which was producing and selling fake pipes across the state.
The unit is allegedly run by Arpit Agrawal while his details are under investigation.
According to police Jindal is a renowned company and produces pipes for domestic and commercial use. The accused was producing pipes at local level and using branding of Jindal he was selling it at several places in the state.
The other accomplies of the accused who were involved in the nexus of operating fake pipe production and selling would also be arrested.
