It is the government's creative initiative to simplify the grant process for the drama, but it is the responsibility of the playwriter to perform a grand presentation of the plays,” said a veteran playwright Ashok Bulani.

Bulani was addressing the Rang Chaupal held here on Friday at Baithak The Art House.

It is to be noted that this was the second season of Rang Chaupal organised by Swaroop Rang Aur Chhaya organization.

In the second season of Rang Choupal, the famous theatre performers and playwrights of the city gathered at the Baithak- The Art House and discussed about the situation in today's Bhopal drama world.

Special guest Ashok Bulani said that nowadays the performance of plays is increasing, but some of them are loosing in their creativity. Referring to the rich theater of Marathi, he said that if there are at least thousands of performances of a single play, then any drama is considered to be a hit, otherwise not. “We have to develop such a tradition and leave an impression on the audience who becomes disturbed by the Hindi drama,” he added.

In today's scenario, he made an emotional appeal to the immediate closing of false traditions in the drama captains that do not stand a play on the basis of grants; rather, let the drama become self-realized on the land of creativity.

He gave an example of Habib Tanveer's plays as to how he created dramatic plays in low resources. In the same way, he praised the contribution of Shashi Kapoor that he had set up his life's deposit capital "Prithvi Theater".

On this occasion, senior playwrights Manoj Nair, Uday Nawalkar, Anshul Kulkarni, Shikhardutt Mishra, Alay Khan  were present. At the end of the programme, actor Alay Khan performed leaving the audience mesemrised.
