n Police are yet to arrest anti-encroachment squad official who has been booked for giving triple talaq to his fourth wife and assaulting her; Koh-e-Fiza police have started investigation.
The accused Nasir Khan Khan gave triple talaq to his wife whom he married on July 5 last month and later gave triple talaq over phone. The victim approached police and lodged complaint against her accused husband.
On Friday a video went viral in which Nasir was spotted alleging woman that she kept secret her earlier marriage history and which resulted in the sour relationship. Nasir alleged that former Corporator Shahwar Mansoori has fabricated him in the case.
Victim in her complaint stated that she was in relationship and when she pressurised for marriage to save from been charged with sexual assault case Nasir married her but within few days he divorced her.
The victim alleged that Nasir has married thrice in the past and had a turbulent life with the earlier wives and due to which he had been booked in the past by police.
The police have registered a case under section 4 of the Muslim Women ( Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019.
The sections under which the accused has been booked are non-bail able. The accused was not arrested till the filling of the report while search has been started for the accused.
