Directed by Gopal Dubey, the play was presented by Bhoomika Theatre Group, Bhopal. The play was all about comedy, drama, love, tragedy and a blend of various human relationships altogether.

The story follows the one sided love story of a boy who was unable to express his love to the girl he liked during his college days. The boy grows old and becomes a member of the city library. He befriends a young boy Amjad who visits regularly at the library and both of them become friends with the librarian.

As the play starts, Amjad tells his library friends about his secret liking for the girl who visits the library everyday. He admits that he visits library everyday just to get a glimpse of her. Amjad is unable to express his love to her. Soon, the old man revives his young days and confesses that he had been in the similar situation years ago.

The man narrates his story and goes in the flashback when the Bollywood blockbuster ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikander’ was released. He relives his past days while narrating his story to his friends.

Amjad and the librarian decide to unite their old friend to his love. The old man finally expresses his love to the girl he loved for so long.

The mixture of beautiful feelings and untold relationships formed the story of the play Amjad, Major or Main. The audience remained  spell-bound by the performances of the artists. The rhythmical music and the soothing lighting effect added more zeal to the moods of the scenes.

While talking to The Pioneer, director of the play Gopal Dubey said, “This was the opening show of the play. All the actors who were involved in the drama and I thought of the concept and wrote the story. The combination of different experiences formed the play.”
