'All credit for controlling price hike goes to PM'

Staff Reporter

The BJP has been claiming that it has contained dearness referring to wholesale price index. But has the Govt actually been successful in ridding the common man of the price hike menace is only left for the time to reveal.

BJP State spokesman and MlA Vishwas Sarang in a statement here on Thursday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised during the lok Sabha elections that if voted to power his party would contain the spiraling prices, and if it has been controlled after six months of assuming the office of Prime Minister, then the credit of this definitely goes to Modi and the BJP Government at the Centre.

“This could happen only due to the intent of the BJP Government, fulfilling the promise in such tenure reflects the success of the Central Government,” Sarang said. Sarang further said that during the past ten years when the people of the country were suffering with rising prices, then it was not an issue for the Congress, it kept mum over it.

But ever since the BJP Government assumed power at the Centre, the Congress started making clutter over the rising prices, that could not be termed political honesty, he added. He said that the Union Government has clearly warned the hoarders and black marketeers not to play with the interest of the consumer’s interest. The works that could not be done by big laws are done with the stature of the Government and the control over the dearness is proof of it, he added.
