All claims of women's safety in the state by the state government are false and shallow and could be witnessed from Damoh Hatta incident, where a man was killed after he opposed teasing of his daughter and lodged a complaint with police, said leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Ajay Singh.
The incident has blemished the already infamous state for crime against women and exposed the CM Chouhan's claims of woman security in the state where the police failed to protect women and paying any heed to their grievances.
Ajay Singh further added that the attacks on police in Chhatarpur, Badwani, Jhabua and Ujjain show their fearlessness and manage a parallel authority.
In the Damoh incident, the victims were continuously threatened to burn alive but police never took action against the accused and they went further and killed the deceased according to their threats. It shows that the criminals do not fear police anymore.
The Home Minister who claims inadequate number of police force should resign as the state people have not been provided with safety and security. Police failed to take action for the past two and a half month even after the deceased father lodged a complaint against the accused involved in teasing and harassing his daughter and now police are claiming that it was a case of enmity and not of molestation.
