Cornered from all quarters over the issue of triple talaq the All India Muslim Personal law Board (AIMPlB) is gearing up to register its strong presence over the social media to clear the confusions over the Shariah laws.

AIMPlB member and former state Congress spokesman Arif Masood while talking to The Pioneer on Tuesday said, “In order to clear the confusions over the Shariah laws especially over the triple talaq the Board is gearing to register its strong presence over the social media.”

Masood further said that the Board has decided to constitute a special media committee in this regard that would provide clear information over the issues of talaq, marriage, halala, women rights in Islam,  ancestral property rights and others. This committee would provide clear and right information over these issues on the social media including facebook, whatsapp and twitter.

He said that social media is strong medium and looking at its string acceptability among the masses the Board has decided to use it for educating people over the confusing issues and misconceptions over Islam and Shariah.

He said that besides social media countrywide programs to educate and aware the community on the confusing and contentious issues is already going on in different parts of the country. Through those programs religious scholars and clerics are trying to remove ignorance about family related Islamic laws and to increase sensitiveness among the Muslims. Besides, those who are ignorant over triple talaq are also invited in these programs to get authentic knowledge over the subject, he added.
