All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal under the patronage of Director Prof Sarman Singh on Tuesday organised a gracious function to welcome New Year 2019 in the presence of AIIMS family at its Medical College.
On the occasion, Director Prof Sarman Singh emphasised upon the commitment to take this Institute of national importance to its height with the available resources and no letups will be allowed in this process. The present available resources shall be utilised to its optimum for achieving the goals, he added. He applauded the work being performed by faculty members and staff in their respective fields, by stretching themselves to serve the Institute as well people and other organisations.
On this occasion, Director also inaugurated the service of e-Vehicle in order to inculcate a sense of e-green awareness in AIIMS, Bhopal. This e-vehicle will ply within the Institute and facilitate the transportation need of students, paramedical staff and patients, at large. He also distributed the units for manuring compost to be installed in different areas like residential complex and hostels, as a mark of Swachchhta Awareness drive.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Arneet Arora, Dean (Academics) said it is the time when one has to look at the past and move forward for achieving the set objective set for one self. She acclaimed the progress made during the last seven months when lot of activities in the field of academics, research and other spheres are being initiated with positive approach.
Dr Manisha Shrivastava, Medical Superintendent expressed that presently there are two main tasks before the Institute first is to earn Rs KayaKalp Award’ and second one to organise 1st ‘Convocation’ and all the resources are being geared up to complete both the tasks well in time and in most successful manner.
While anchoring the function, Santosh Sohgaura, Deputy Director (Administration) recalled the resolutions taken in the year 2018 and expressed his contentment that most of them have been achieved during the tenure of present Director.
